“A museum jewel of a hotel on a headland, right by the fjord in beautiful Hardanger!”

SUMMER LUNCH

From June 15 to August 20, we warmly welcome you to lunch at the historic Utne Hotel.

Every day between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, we serve a delicious three-course lunch, alongside our popular open sandwiches and a selection of fine homemade cakes.

In our kitchen, we focus on local ingredients from Hardanger, prepared with respect for tradition and the seasons. We also serve freshly baked bread from Lillevåland Bakeri, an artisan bakery that shares our passion for quality and great flavors, using ingredients from Halund Farm at Nå.

We recommend reserving a table, especially during the high season.

Utne Hotel has welcomed travelers since 1722 and is Norway’s oldest hotel in continuous operation. History lives within these walls, from its days as a coaching inn and trading post to the vibrant hotel it is today on the shores of the Hardangerfjord. A visit to us is therefore more than a meal – it is a journey through culture, traditions, and stories.
Before or after lunch, you are also welcome to visit our small gallery in the cellar. Here we present changing exhibitions featuring art and creative expressions inspired by the landscape, history, and people of Hardanger.

Welcome to peaceful hours by the fjord, excellent food, and an experience rooted all the way back to the 18th century. We look forward to welcoming you.
